WINDOWS
DOS COMMAND PROMPT INFORMATION
Beginning with WINDOWS
XP (WXP), the Microsoft MSDOS operating system may be absent but there seem to
be more DOS commands for use than ever before due to the inclusion in WINDOWS of
a DOS command emulator.
The DOS commands can be executed with a batch
(.bat) program file or by using the supplied DOS COMMAND PROMPT WINDOW Accessory
with the following procedure:
1. Left-click the
Windows Start Icon or press the WINDOWS Icon key.
2. Select
"Command Prompt" if listed, else use the selection sequences below as
needed:
3. "All
Programs", "Accessories", "Command Prompt"
You can create a shortcut to use on your Desktop
by right-clicking "Command Prompt" in the
"Accessories" folder.
X2USBP is a solution to the problems many users seem to encounter with
printing the DOS command screen outputs (like dir *.*) on a USB connected printer.
It requires no system installation or configuration change on your PC and can
even be
run on an internet website.
